The most aggressive schedules in the industry We have earned a special reputation for our willingness to take on assignments with deadlines considered virtually infeasible, and then to do whatever it takes to succeed, assuming full responsibility for supplying the resources required. Getting there on time takes the right planning tools and the right planning skills. We have those.More importantly, it also takes the right relationships with sub contractors and suppliers – and their one hundred percent cooperation. We have that too.
We thrive on demanding deadlines Retailers and landlords off to a late start in the planning of a new store come to us so that they are open by Christmas. Manufacturers and retailers facing complicated renovation or expansion projects come to us to minimize disruption and downtime. Building owners trying to accommodate incoming tenants with demanding occupancy requirements come to us for help in meeting their commitments. In over thirty-five years of high-pressure construction management, we have never once struck out.
METICULOUS QUALITY CONTROL
Continuous Quality Monitoring
We go the extra mile to ensure an uncomplicated and un-stressful experience. We have an eye for aesthetic detail and a constant preoccupation with quality of workmanship. In the stringency of the standards to which we work, we are second to no one. Our employees, both on-site and in the corporate office have all been educated, led, and rewarded to produce and accept only the best.
PRECISION AND PREDICTABILITY
Precision and predictability in project management The consistency with which we meet our quality and delivery constraints owes much to our particular approach to project management. That approach, and its continuing refinement are at the center of our business strategy. It guides the coordination of people and materials and the administration and construction of the site itself, determines the character of our communications with clients and trades, and sustains the systematic attention to detail that is critical to effective control.
Our sites: Quality, Safety and Cleanliness James Construction Group has been successful because of the various components of our management process works well– separately and together. We are experts in fast-track scheduling, in quality and inventory control and in the application of pressure to maintain the pace of progress. We act to ensure that the client remains informed and satisfied throughout the course of the work, and the corrections mandated by the changes in plans or site conditions are implemented gracefully and without delay. Our job sites are monitored continuously for safety and cleanliness; as a result we have a particular repute for sites that are clean and orderly, and a safety record some 20 percent better than the industry average.
Competitive Bidding, Value Engineering or Direct Negotiation We work to tight budgets and we work within budget – invariably. There is evidence for this in the demand for our services as value engineers, in the record of our relationships with our customers and in the record of our performance in bidding competitions. The majority of our customers, content with our approach to pricing, skirt the tendering process altogether in favor of direct negotiation. In the competitions we enter, our bids tend to be among the lowest; our success rate, some 35 percent, is high relative to the industry norm.
Unrestricted Bonding Capacity The Company’s financial position is rock solid and has been so for over thirty five years. We enjoy the full confidence, not only of our clients, but of our insurers as well. Our unrestricted bonding capacity is a measure of that confidence, and a tribute to a long history of financial strength, responsible management and reliable product delivery.
